Some Picks
Barack Obama, Cory Truax, Health Care
I’m on a vacation right now, but I wanted to at least post some links for your perusal. These are some stories I’ve found important and/or entertaining this week.
First, Charles Krauthammer has the best column I’ve read about how conservatives and the formerly-conservative Republican Party should address the Sotomayor nomination. Indeed, we can use this confirmation process to contrast conservatism and liberalism, liberty and statism. Sotomayor should be confirmed, but not before we use what will be a highly-publicized process to articulate our agenda and ideology.
Also on Sonia Sotomayor, Tom Tancredo has some great analysis in this video– something about the Latino KKK.
From one of the worst sit-coms ever, Coach, Craig T. Nelson told Glenn Beck he was through with taxes. It’s an entertaining video.
I’m a policy wonk. But when it comes to health care policy, I’m a policy nerd (Here are my health care ideas, if you’re interested . . . I devour just about any health care policy proposals I see. In that spirit, I post this story from Breitbart to be sure everyone is updated on the president’s plans. Also, I want to continue establishing a theme I’ve written about before: the Obama administration uses fear and urgency to push their policy proposals.
